Qualify to use the Thinking Partnership Session, a Philosophy for Transformational Thinking

Online Course - Autumn 2026

"You are a huge contribution to the Thinking Environment and uniquely so. I appreciate your inclusive perspective and depth of experience in all that you are and do"

Jane Adshead-Grant - Time to Think Global Faculty

Explore the Thinking Partnership in Depth

Developed over 4 decades by Nancy Kline and Time to Think, The Thinking Partnership Session®  helps individuals think more clearly, creatively, and independently, without interruption, in a 1:1 setting.

Evidence shows that the act of listening and thinking improves when we embody The Ten Components of a Thinking Environment®.

The Coaching Course (2+2 days) deepens the expertise and knowledge you gained from The Thinking Partnership Course, equipping you to take this process into your coaching practice.

The course also introduces the ‘Spectrum of Independence’, addressing the place of this process in the world of coaching.

"It is surprising how something so simple [...] can be so incredibly powerful. Transformative!"
~DBS OBE - Impact Investor - Past participant.

Can My Coaching Change?

Findings show that when you improve the quality of your presence and you remain deeply attuned to the various streams of attention, the quality of thinking in someone rises. This partnership accelerates breakthrough thinking and increases trust and autonomy in others.

Building upon the Thinking Partnership course, the Thinking Environment Coaching Programme develops participants’ skills of nurturing and maintaining conditions that enable a Thinker to explore and practice independent thinking: to think for themselves, uninterrupted.

The course is an aesthetic practice that dives into a philosophy of communication and coaching that:

  • Creates a system where a thinker comes up with ideas, directions, understanding and practical, imaginative solutions for themselves
  • Reduces the dependence on a coach’s views, guidance or analysis
  • Uses thought-through foundational questions asked consistently, embracing the Ten Components.
  • Assumes that the Thinker already has the most useful answers inside their own thinking

Through the practicum experience, the participants will explore how Thinking Environment coaching compares with other coaching approaches & interventions, supporting the thinker to gain more independence without the coach taking over.

Next online course: September 2026 with Servane, Time to Think Emergent Faculty (consultant, teacher, coach, facilitator and supervisor).

Is This Course Right For Me?

You will learn the step-by-step process that enables exquisite independent thinking in coaching. How to become so present that you are invisible... Let me share what happened for me and you can make your own choice...

"My journey as a Time to Think coach has unfolded as a living practice of attention, a deep discovery of people, their complexity and the grace with which they can transform, given the time to think, without interference.

Each coaching encounter has offered me new ways to enliven the Ten Components and witness how they transform individuals, relationships, teams, and systems.

What emerges for me from this period is a sense of maturation and expansion, a deepening of my commitment to nurture independent thinking, and a widening of the spaces where this becomes possible.

I apply my Time To Think coaching learnings everywhere.

Through coaching thinkers, teaching and hosting alumni circles, coaching teams, supervising or mentoring coaches, and creating new partnerships, I have seen how Time to Think can serve as a gentle yet radical framework for courage, creativity, and belonging in complex times.

My practice has therefore become both a place of learning and contribution: I continue to learn from others’ thinking, with coachees, participants, peers, and faculty members, as much as I support the conditions for independent thinking.

Each experience has been a way to keep the Thinking Environment alive, responsive, and relevant to the shifting questions of our professional and social worlds.

Now, what are your freshest thoughts?

What Participants Say

"The Thinking Partnership course was transformative for me! I learned so much about how to listen better and create a space for others to think independently. The hands-on activities were engaging and really helped me put the concepts into practice, and collaborating with my fellow participants opened my eyes to new perspectives. What truly excited me was the focus on helping others unlock the answers within themselves. I left feeling inspired and energised, ready to use these skills to support those around me in discovering their own solutions."

Rolake Ojo, Medical Doctor and Brand Strategist

Servane created a powerful thinking environment for me throughout. From uninterrupted attention when we were developing our own thinking, to ease & encouragement through her words, body language and way of being, to creating the right physical conditions, to valuing our differences and our equal worth as thinkers, she was superb. I have come away with my eyes opened to a world of possibilities around how to think and feel more independently for myself, and how to to create the conditions for that to happen, with ease, for clients, colleagues, friends and family. Thank you so much!
