The times feel raw, disconnected and siloed.
In my work, I listen to people who genuinely want to cultivate courage and kindness but experience ruthless work environments.
They wonder what it means – and if it is at all possible – to transform conflict, friction or tensions (wherever they are on that ladder) through bold, imaginative thinking.
Sometimes they look at me in disbelief.
Sometimes they give up.
Attempting such a journey in isolation is unforgivably harrowing.
A walk riddled with doubts
A ruthless “going in circles”.
I believe in the power of bond and trust growing,
not as a fad but as a connective tissue.
I believe in spinning, threading, canvassing courage, compassion, and insights like cotton.
I believe that each one of us has the inner capacity to discover new ways to relate and meet people’s needs, even in complex environments.
And it shouldn’t be down to one individual to fix, correct, find the root cause and address “the problem” (it’s silly to believe we can even do that).
What changes when we believe disentangling can start by being able to think together? By being able to forge brave relationships through care, deep, attentive listening, and lively inspiration?
Disentangling through breathing, pulsing and rippling in considerate listening and thinking.
Developing a rich process for being together in kindness, trust, imagination, and courage is at the heart of the Time to Think philosophy.
And that’s why I want to share it with you.
Join us in October for a new adventure!
We’ll learn together about the Time to Think Foundation of Facilitation – online – on 20 & 21 October.
It’s ideal when you work in/with teams in whichever capacity.
Time to break that hidden, pernicious isolation.
