“There will be no community without first communing.”
~Nora Bateson
Warm Data Labs (in person), People Need People (online) gatherings and Relational Labs, are an invitation into that communing: a meadow of conversations where fresh insights and relationships between strangers and familiar faces quietly take root.
These events are story-weaving spaces soaked in the imperfection, the messiness and delicate beauty of what happens to us and what we make happen.
What is alive in us.

They are shy, shimmering stories that seep through like water into dry earth.
In the gentle echo of someone else’s words, something long-forgotten in us softens, and a story that has been hiding, by accident or on purpose, becomes ready to be shared.
These stories are not CVs, scripts, demands, or elevator pitches; they are the warm, surprising traces of what we have actually lived and noticed in a changing world.
Each experience is unique and co-created, moment by moment, with those who show up.

There is no performance, no fixing, no predicted outputs, no tick-box learning, only care, curiosity, humility, and the ongoing question of who we can be together in unprecedented systems change.
If you’re keen, we’ll collaborate to invite your community, adjacent and further neighbourhoods to entangle contexts, shape new maps, renew our language and ways of listening.
“Warm Data is where you go when there is nowhere left to go. In a world where the stuff that makes up life has no place to go, where does it end up? A Warm Data Lab. In a world where your humanity has been betrayed and bruised and cheated and ignored, where does it go? A Warm Data Lab. In a world where people need people, but the way we do care and support communities is broken and sterile, where do we go? Warm Data Lab. ~Phoebe Tickell (UK)

We’ll gather not to fix the world or extract the life out of it, but to feel it differently; to notice the warmth where relations touch, seep through the membranes of information that is alive.
Come as you are. No preparation needed. Come simply…
and leave with eyes re-woven,
seeing patterns where before there were only parts.
Each experience is hosted by hosts trained in the practice by the International Bateson Institute. As the Lab follows a carefully designed process, it is helpful if you can stay from beginning to end.
