We explore how to foster independent reflexion, organic learning, and collective growth by embracing complexity, connectedness, nuance, and trust.
Or how do you, as a system, learn and go to the edge of your thinking?
1. Imagine an environment that works as an organic learning system and that honours independent thinking.
2. Picture a thinking environment that enriches our interactions in a pair, in a group, in a wider context, and even in ourselves.
3. Think of an environment in which you let go of control, with ease.
4. Know that this environment enables you to put the finger on what shifts (in fact you can physically feel it when it starts doing this!).
5. Immerse yourself in this non-linear experience that enables you to learn at a pace that is not forced upon you but grows organically.
6. Let yourself go in this environment that welcomes complexity, nuances and movement.
7. Remember that rather than rejecting all the stuff we know, this environment welcomes and combines the variety of resources we hold in ourselves and beyond, (even the resources we didn’t know we could access).
8. Let yourself grow as a human being by opening up to your inner resistance or vibrant responses.
9. Do this with others, together.
10. Know that this learning system transforms a group into an environment that prioritises thoughtful and open considerations, curiosity, movement, grace, and trust.
Join me on October 17 and 18 on the Time to Think Foundation Course if you can. We’ll discover the Ten Components of a Thinking Environment® and how you can embody them through various applications.
